It’s official, I have relocated to New York City. While I attempt to gather my life, I will return to the blogosphere next week. Until then, I leave you with an accurate illustration of my current existence.

Feeling Flats.
Karl Lagerfeld presented the standard blow-your-mind collection for his Resort 2013. Per usual, I found myself asking, “How did he do that?” and “Is there anything is this world more exquisite?” But beyond the elegant tweeds of soft pinks and blues, I spied with my little eyes some flatform sneakers.

Last year, I found myself at Barney’s shoe sale extravaganza contemplating a pair of Chloe camel brown leather flatforms. My heart said yes but my brain said trend. Though I still believe in this, I’m not opposed to jumping ship on timeless fashion to enjoy some flatform action. Let the dream sequence commence!

Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.
Vintage Oscar de la Renta dress (via FROCK NYC), Chanel belt, Manolo Blahnik heels
In honor of my college completion, I decided to get extremely dressed up and take pictures outside. Just kidding, kind of (thanks for the great iPhone shot Mom!) Anyway, I purcahsed this tear-jerking Oscar gem as a graduation gift from my lovers at FROCK in Soho. I’m not sure if there’s anything in this world like finding a treasure in a vintage shop and trying it on only to find that it fits like it was made only for you. It pained me to take it off after our delicious dinner but alas, who said a bride can’t wear black? Though it’s staying with my parents in Chicago while I move to New York in one week, I predict many tremendous evenings in this number. And just in case you were wondering…

Yes…. it’s the same dress.
One moment please

I apologize for my approaching absence these next few days. I will be finished with college in no more than 3 hours and will be graduating in roughly 5 days. Would you look at that! 4 years just like that. In the meantime, I’m attempting to pack my life into boxes making me realize I have too much clothing and foot candy for the chaotically cluttered life I already live. This right here is a photo of what’s going into storage… and/or what cannot fit into my new shoebox in NYC. Be back next week if you’d like to join! Cheers!
